Heather's wedding

One of my dear friends from High School days became the first of our group to be the MOB (Mother of Bride) this past August. Susan's daughter Heather married Tyler in a gorgeous outdoor wedding in San Diego. Now, like I said, I've known Sue since high school, and Heather was nowhere in the picture at that time! So I've had the opportunity to photograph Heather and her brother Scott over the years- one shot is shown above- the infamous "hide the jelly bean in the flowers" photo. She wouldn't have anything to do with the daffodils until I told her to find the jelly bean. Then I got the shot we wanted!

The prospect of photographing a wedding for a close friend is both a privilege and a curse- I can't imagine NOT photographing the festivities, but it does cut down on the partying and relaxing that the rest of our group of friends got to enjoy! I have to say it was a lot of fun being behind the camera to document our little Heather all grown up on her wedding day. And yes, I did hide a jelly bean in her bouquet during our bridal portraits. Hey, I do what it takes to get the shot! :-)

Something New

We just gave our website a much needed facelift, thanks to the guys at Creative Continuum. A few things still need tweaking, but for the most part, I love our new look. Thanks to Andy for the abuse he took during the creative process. :-)
This blog is a new feature that I hope to update weekly, or as fun things come up that I think you'd like to see. Please subscribe, or visit often and let me know what you think.
I heard on the news today that when Jay Leno leaves the Tonight Show this next year, he'll be staying with NBC, and will have his show on at 10 pm instead of 11:30. This makes me happy because I'll finally be able to stay awake to see his take on the stories of the day. I like the idea of laughter at the end of my night- especially in these times!
I found this photo in our files from a photo shoot at Jay's Burbank auto garage. What a fun gig that was for NSS (the company that makes the machines that Jay uses to keep his garage floors clean and shiny). Well, I imagine someone else actually cleans the floor with the machines, but you never know - Jay was an easy-going, down to earth guy!
